THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL CHEAM ROAD (A232), EWELL TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018
ON 14 MARCH 2018 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cheam Road (A232), Ewell which comprises the length of road beneath the rail over road bridge known as East Ewell Station bridge and 10 metres either side, a total distance of 30 metres. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via Cheam Road, Ewell By-Pass, London Road, Malden Road, Ewell Road and Cheam Road or this route in reverse order. This Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out a detailed bridge examination. These works are anticipated to be completed overnight, between the hours of 22.00hrs and 05.00hrs, during the three month period of operation of this Order which commences on 20 March 2018. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. No sole access to any property will be affected however access for local residents and businesses, including emergency services, will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
KILN LANE (D2244), EPSOM TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ORDER 2017 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting and/or loading and/or unloading at any time along the following lengths of Kiln Lane (D2244), Epsom:- (a) that length of the south-east and east side of Kiln Lane, extending from its junction with Conifer Park north-eastwards and then northwards to a point 50 metres north of the centre line of the south-east to north-west arm of Kiln Lane; (b) that length of the south-west side of Kiln Lane, extending from the south-eastern kerb-line of the south-west to north-east arm of Kiln Lane southeast wards for a distance of 45 metres. This Order is required to enable CS Cable Jointing to facilitate excavation works on the footpath. The works are anticipated to be completed within two weeks, between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs, during the three month period of operation of this Order which commences on 2 April 2018. The restrictions are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day however advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force.
