LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
MONTAGUE ROAD, SW19 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate redevelopment works adjacent to Montague Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to continue in force the provisions of a temporary notice issued under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 prohibiting vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading in that road.

2. Whilst the works are being undertaken:-

(a) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in Montague Road, the east side, from the southern kerb-line of Griffiths Road to a point 40 metres south of the said kerb-line;
(b) the parking bays in the length of road specified in (a) above will be suspended.

3. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such an extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(b) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of the temporary restrictions at a time when these restrictions apply may be removed in accordance with the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. This Order will come into operation on 4 October 2017, and will remain in force until 30 September 2018 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON PROPOSED RAISED JUNCTION TABLE - CANNON HILL
LANE


1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, under powers conferred by section 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980 and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, intend to introduce a raised junction table 75mm high with a 1:20 gradient across the full width of Cannon Hill Lane, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Kingston Road south-eastward for a distance of 10 metres.

2. A plan of the area showing the proposed raised junction table can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.

3. Any person desiring to comment on the proposal should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof in writing to the Environment and Regeneration Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX quoting reference ES/Cannon Hill Lane safety no later than 19 October 2017.

PROPOSED 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT IN ABBOTSBURY ROAD, MORDEN The Merton (20 MPH Limit) (No. *) Traffic Order 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, propose to make the above mentioned Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour in the length of Abbotsbury Road that lies between the north-western kerb-line of Central Road and the south-western kerb-line of Bury Grove.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates can be inspected during the Council's normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.

4. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX quoting the reference ABBOTSBURY RD 20MPH SCHOOL no later than 20 October 2017.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) EASTFIELDS ROAD AND GROVE ROAD, CR4 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 4) ORDER 2017


1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate level crossing upgrading works at the Eastfields Road level crossing, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in Eastfields Road and Grove Road.

2. Whilst the works take place no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed, wait, load or unload in:

(a) Eastfields Road, between its junction with Grove Road and a point 25 metres north-west of the level crossing in Eastfields Road; and
(b) Grove Road, from its junction with Eastfields Road south-eastward for a distance of 10 metres.

3. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited lengths of road will be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. Alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as follows:

(a) from Grove Road, via Tamworth Lane, Cedars Avenue, Commonside East, Upper Green East, London Road, Raleigh Gardens, Holborn Way, London Road, Lock's Lane and Eastfields Road;
(b) from Eastfields Road, via Lock's Lane, London Road, Upper Green East, Commonside East, Cedar Avenue, Tamworth Lane and Grove Road.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. The Order will apply from 11pm on Friday 6th October 2017 until 5am on Monday 9th October 2017.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

MANSEL ROAD, SW19 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate building works in Mansel Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works:-

(a) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in Mansel Road, SW19, the south­east side, between a point 32 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Wimbledon Hill Road and a point 64 metres south-west of the said kerb-line;
(b) any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. The Order will come into operation on Friday 29th September 2017 and remain in force for 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) WEST BARNES LANE, KT3 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2017


1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate rail inspections and associated works at the northernmost level crossing on West Barnes Lane, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. Whilst the works take place no person would cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed, wait, load or unload in West Barnes Lane between the eastern kerb-line of Burlington Road and the western kerb-line of Linkway.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure would be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane and vice versa.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the road specified in paragraph 2 above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

7. The Order would come into operation at 23.59pm on Tuesday 17th October 2017 and remain in force until 5.00am on 20th October 2017. It is expected that the works would take place over 3 nights between 23.59pm and 5.00am the following day from 17th October 2017 to 20th October 2017 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

CANNON HILL LANE, SW20 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate road safety improvement works in Cannon Hill Lane, they intend, subject to consultation, to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter into or proceed in Cannon Hill Lane, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Kingston Road south-eastward for a distance of 20 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in the length of Cannon Hill Lane specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Access to properties adjacent to the length of road described in paragraph 2 above would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
