MARINE AND COASTAL ACCESS ACT 2009 APPLICATION FOR: Thames Tideway – Jetty
Notice is hereby given that Atkins on behalf of Tideway - FLO (Ferrovial Agroman and Laing O’Rourke Joint Venture) has applied to the Marine Management Organisation under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, Part 4, for a marine licence to undertake construction of a jetty and subsequent offloading operations at Goshems Farm. A copy of the application and supplementary information including plans showing the position of the works, is available for inspection at Tilbury Library - Tilbury Hub, Civic Square, Tilbury, RM18 8AD. The application is to construct a jetty at Goshems Farm – next to the existing jetty – in order to increase the docking and offloading capacity of the site and thus to support the removal of excavated spoil from the Tideway tunnel scheme. The proposed new jetty will comprise a pontoon 123 m long by 27.5 m wide, and a 90 m long approach structure. This new jetty will provide a solution to accommodate the excavated spoil material, whilst at the same time allow restoration of former waste land, and contribute to the revitalisation of commercial activity on the River Thames. Copies of the application and associated information may be viewed on line in the Public Register at www.gov.uk/check-marine-licence-register. Representations in respect of the application should ordinarily be made by: - Visiting the MMO public register at https://marinelicensing.marinemanagement.org.uk/mmofox5/fox/live/MMO_PUBLIC_REGISTER/search?area=3 and accessing the ’make a comment’ section of case reference MLA/2017/00055. However, we will also accept representations via the following formats: - By email to firstname.lastname@example.org; or alternatively - By letter addressed to Marine Management Organisation, Lancaster House, Hampshire Court, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7YH In all cases, correspondence must: - Be received within 28 days of the date of the first notice 6th April 2017; - Quote the case reference; and - include an address to which correspondence relating to the representation or objection may be sent. The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation we receive.
