NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981, SECTION 53SA(2) THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 37 DURHAM CITY PARISH) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017

On 23/03/17, The County Council of Durham confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from a point south-east of Fountain's Hall (Grey College), proceeding in a generally north-north­westerly direction through the existing building and proposed extension to a point north-north-west of the hall to a line running from a point on Public Footpath No. 36, proceeding in a generally northerly then north-westerly direction to the same point north-north-west of the Hall as shown on the order map. A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Durham Clayport library and the Council's Offices at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.15. The order will come into force on the date on which The County Council of Durham certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order has been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desired to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement ofthat Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.

(CHESTER-LE-STREET AND BIRTLEY) (PARKING & WAITING RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION NO. 3 ORDER 2015 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2017

The Council on 23/03/17 made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45,46, 46A, 47 & 49 & Pt. IV of Sch. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended (the "Act") and Pt 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, the effects of which come into operation on 04/04/17 and introduces: (a) Restricted Waiting on the east side of Grey Ave from a point outside No. 2 westerly for approx. 25 mts, (b) removes a length of the current Restricted Waiting from a point where it meets the No Waiting At Any Time restriction on Lombard Drive slightly east of the junction with North Rd (north side of road) and replaces with No Waiting At Any Time on both north & south sides of the road, (c) introduces No Waiting At Any Time on Ropery Lane from West Lane to Front St, (d) introduces No Waiting At Any Time on the junction of Springfield Gdns and Newcastle Rd, (e) removes a length of the existing No Waiting At Any Time on Newcastle Rd at a point outside of No. 2 Newcastle Rd, (f) replaces the existing "Disabled Badge Holders Only Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 2 hours no return within 1 hour" parking bay on the B6313 opposite the Methodist Church with a "Disabled Badge Holders Only 2 hour no return within 1 hour" restriction, and (g) minor administrative amendments. A copy of the sealed Order may be inspected at Chester-le-Street Library & County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the "Act", or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from30/03/17, apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
