The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2,4, 32 & 35 & Part IV of Sch. 9 of the | Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, its effect being to extend the existing No Waiting At Any Time on High St., Belmont (which currently extends approx. 12m from the splitter island, opposite no 10 Broomside Lane) in a north easterly direction for 14m. A copy of the draft Order and supporting documents may be inspected at Belmont Library and at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website. (NORTH APPROACH, WHITEHILL WAY & THE AVENUE, CHESTER-LE-STREET) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017 The Council, on 23/02/17 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic: 1) a 180m length of North Approach between its | junctions with Pelton Fell Road and The Avenue; 2) a 250m length of Whitehill Way that extends from the junction of The Avenue to the junction of Wynyard; and 3) a 45m length of The Avenue that extends southwards from its junction with North Approach to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. The maximum duration ofthe temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 05/03/17 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 1 week (Phase 1: 3 days, Phase 2: 3 days, Phase 3: 1 day). However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: 1) Easterly | and north easterly on North Burns and Picktree Lane then generally southwards on A167 to Chester Moor Roundabout then northwards to Waldridge Road then easterly to Whitehill Way; and | 2 & 3) South easterly on The Avenue and South Approach then westerly on Waldridge Road and northerly/north westerly on Whitehill Way to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa. (BURNOPFIELD, TANFIELD, OXHILL, SOUTH MOOR, SOUTH STANLEY, CRAGHEAD AND BLOEMFONTEIN) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING/UNLOADING) ORDER 2010 (AMENDMENT No. 2) ORDER 2016 The effects of this Order which becomes operational on 06/03/17 introduces No Waiting At Any Time restrictions onthe east side ofC11 South MoorRoadat the junctions with Muriel St., Wardle St. and the Unclassified Road (Rynfield). (BURNOPFIELD, TANFIELD, OXHILL, SOUTH MOOR, QUAKING HOUSES, SOUTH I STANLEY, CRAGHEAD, AND BLOEMFONTEIN)
(PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (CONSOLIDATION NO 1) ORDER 2017 The general effect of this Order which becomes operational on 07/03/17 revokes the (Burnopfield, Tanfield, Oxhill, South Moor, South Stanley, Craghead and Bloemfontein) (Prohibition & Restriction of Waiting & Prohibition ofLoadingUnloading) Order 2010, Amendment Order 2011, Amendment No 1 Order 2013, Amendment No 1 Order2014 and Amendment No 2 Order 2016; the effects ofthese revocations being to consolidate without any change to the substantive provisions of these orders.

(LANCHESTER AND LANGLEY PARK) (PROHIBITION & RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 2010 (AMENDMENT NO. 2) ORDER 2016 The Council on 23/02/17 made the following Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 & Pt IV of Sch 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, ("the Act"), which becomes operational on 06/03/17 affecting restrictions in Langley Park: (1) introduces a length of 'no waiting at any time' on junction of Quebec St. and South View between property no's 28 & 29 (both sides) and extending on west side for the full gable length ofproperty no. 29. (2) introduces a length of'no waiting at any time' on junction of Front St. leading down rear of Front St. between property no's 36 & 37 extending onnorth side to between No.s 32 & 33 and south side for the full length of gable of property No. 37. (3) introduces a length of 'no waiting at any time' from the entrance to Annfield House on Front St. to its junction with May Terr. extending on south side to its junction with rear of May Terr. (4) replaces a length of 'no waiting or loading at any time' with 'no waiting at any time' around corner of 1 Quebec St onto Front St. A copy of the Order may be inspected at Langley Park library & at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours & via the Council website. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that any requirement of "the Act" or of any regulation made under it has not been | complied with, may within 6 weeks from 02/03/17 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
