TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 NOTICE PURSUANT TO SCHEDULE 3 OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ARTICLE 4 DIRECTION WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT DURHAM (CITY CENTRE) CONSERVATION AREA
Notice is hereby given that the County Council of Durham ("the Council") has confirmed a Direction made under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 ("the Direction").
The Direction applies to various properties within the Durham (City Centre) Conservation Area as described in Schedule 1 ("the Direction Area").
The Direction relates to development of the description(s) set out in Schedule 2.
The effect of the Direction is that development of the description(s) set out in Schedule 2 shall not be carried out in the Direction Area unless planning permission is granted on an application made under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

Development referred to in Classes A, C, D, E, F and G of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development)(England) Order 2015 being the development within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse, where that development would front a relevant location, namely a highway, waterway or open space.
Development referred to in Classes A and C of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development)(England) Order2015 being minoroperations, where that development would front a relevant location, namely a highway, waterway or open space.
A copy of the Direction, including a map defining the Direction Area, can be viewed at County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL during the hours of 9am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday and at Clayport Library, Millennium Place, Durham DH1 1WA during normal opening hours.
