CROYDON COUNCIL
INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS AND CHARGING POINTS - VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON
The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No.2) Order 2022 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.2) Order 2022
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 17 January 2022 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers and also proposes to install electric vehicle charging points under section 16 of the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2013.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:-

(a) To provide parking places which may be used free of charge by electrically propelled vehicles that are being charged with electrical power, operational at any time on Mondays to Sundays inclusive, in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

(b) To install electric vehicle charging points adjacent to the proposed parking places, as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

NOTE: although parking in the electric vehicle bays is free of charge there is normally a cost involved in the use of the adjacent electric vehicle charging points.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 24 January 2022 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Orders may also be obtained from Parking Design, 6th Floor Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA (email:

parking.design@croydon.gov.uk

).

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
ECCLESBOURNE ROAD, THORNTON HEATH NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to re-lay a service pipe on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Ecclesbourne Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

(a) Ecclesbourne Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junction with Bensham Lane and the north­eastern boundary of No. 143 Ecclesbourne Road;

(b) The south-eastern footway of Ecclesbourne Road will be closed between its junction with Bensham Lane and the north-eastern boundary of No. 143 Ecclesbourne Road.

3. During the closure, the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.

(a) Via Berne Road, Lucerne Road and Bensham Lane;

(b) Via Bensham Lane, Bert Road, Kynaston Avenue, Boswell Road and Ecclesbourne Road;

(c) Via Bert Road, Bensham Lane, Brigstock Road, Boswell Road, Ecclesbourne Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 25 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within seven days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 GRANGE HILL, SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate carriageway reinstatement works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Grange Hill.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) Grange Hill will be closed between its junctions with Grange Road and Grangecliffe Gardens;

(b) One-way working in Grange Hill will be suspended to allow two way traffic.

3. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Grange Road, South Norwood Hill, Grange Hill and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 07 February 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS NORBURY COURT ROAD, NORBURY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate crossing installation works they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Norbury Court Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Norbury Court Road will be closed between its junction with London Road and the south-western boundary of No. 1303 London Road.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the diversion route for vehicles will be via Norbury Court Road, Norbury Cross, Northborough Road, London Road and Beatrice Avenue, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 07 February 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
