D1022 Shawley Way, Epsom Downs Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
On 19 January 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1022 Shawley Way, Epsom Downs that extends from its junction with B2221 Great Tattenhams, to its junction with D1021 Gariichill Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out poling and/or cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 sections, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 January 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. The vehicular diversion route will be via:-1. (For works to be carried out outside No.51 Shawley Way) Shawley Way, Great Tattenhams, Tattenham Crescent and Shawley Way. 2.
