The Croydon (Off Street Parking Places) (No.2) Traffic Order 2021
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 06 December 2021 made the above Traffic Order under Sections 32, 35, 124 of, and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Order will be:
(a) To designate the area described in the Schedule to this Notice as an underground pay-by-phone only 24 hour off-street public car park, with charges as detailed below;

(b) All vehicles left in the car park specified in the Schedule to this Notice must be parked within marked bays having made payment for their parking time using the pay-by-phone system;

(c) Vehicles that are parked without payment, not parked within marked bays or not parked in accordance with the signs and surface markings displayed would be liable to receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

3. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 10 December 2021, can be inspected from 9am to 4pm, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Order Making Section, Parking Design, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or via email from parking.design@croydon.gov.uk.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Description of location

The underground area marked as a parking place, accessed from Barclay Road and bounded by and partially under Park Lane to the east, bounded by and partially under Fairfield Halls to the South, bounded to the north by Croydon College and bounded to the west by Croydon Law Courts.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 14, AS AMENDED

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING & PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC VARIOUS LOCATIONS

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install electric vehicle parking bays and charging points they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking and pedestrian traffic in the roads listed in the Schedule to this Notice.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in the sections of road listed in column 2 of the Schedule to this Notice;

b) Footway closures will apply in the sections of footway listed in column 3 of the Schedule to this Notice and pedestrians will be directed into a walkway in the carriageway.

3. The Order will come into operation on the 10 December 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within approximately 10 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

MATTHEWS YARD AND SURREY STREET, CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate fit-out works at a new building development, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Matthews Yard and Surrey Street. Croydon.
Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) The south-west side of Surrey Street will be partially closed by a hoarding outside Nos. 5 to 7 Surrey Street;

b) Matthews Yard will be closed between its junctions with Charles Street and Surrey Street.

3.Whilst Matthews Yard is closed the alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Overton's Yard.

4. The Order will come into operation on 13 December 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven months. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

QUADRANT ROAD, THORNTON HEATH NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install new gas connections they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Quadrant Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

a) Quadrant Road will be closed outside No. 67b Quadrant Road;

b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time" outside Nos. 65 to 69 Quadrant Road on both sides of the road.

3. During the closure the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Brigstock Road, Elliot Road, Melfort Road and Brook Road as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 04 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
