The Middles, Stanley) (Temporary Road and Footpath Closure) Order 2021
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road; 1. A 115 metre length of Woodside Gardens between its junctions with Aged Miners Homes and number 47,2. A 30 metre length of Aged Miners Homes that extends northwards from Woodside Gardens and the following length of footpath; 1. A 55 metre length of footpath from the side and rear of number 19 Kimberley Gardens to number 24 to enable electricity cable renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from 1. the south western side of the closure from Ettrick Terrace onto Durham Road then southerly onto Middles Road then north easterly on Chaytor Terrace leading to Ettrick Terrace to the north eastern side of the closure, 2. the south eastern side of the closure from Ettrick Terrace onto Durham Road then north westerly turning north easterly onto Denewood Court leading to the north western side of the closure and vice versa. An alternative route will be available to pedestrians via the western and southern sides of numbers 19 to 24 Kimberley Gardens. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 1/11/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
