CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
CRAIGNISH AVENUE, NORBURY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to carry out a service pipe repair on behalf of Thames Water they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Craignish Avenue.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Craignish Avenue will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 10 and 11 and Nos. 14 and 15 Craignish Avenue.

3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Dunbar Avenue, Norbury Crescent, St Helens Road, London Road, Craignish Avenue and reversed. Access for residents will be maintained.

4. The Order will come into operation on 20 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CHIPSTEAD VALLEY ROAD, COULSDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning and maintenance works they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Chipstead Valley Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Chipstead Valley Road will be closed over three nights as detailed in the Schedule to this notice.

3. Whilst the works are taking place, the alternative route for traffic will be via Portnalls Road, Long Green Road, Manor Hill, Little Woodcote Lane and Smitham Bottom Lane, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 19 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within three nights between 10pm and 5.30am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to clear blockages in the carriageway on behalf of Openreach, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Priory Road and Mitcham Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
Priory Road will be closed between Mitcham Road and a point 13 metres north-east of that junction;
The north-eastern footway of Mitcham Road will be closed between the junction with Priory Road and the route No. 264 bus stop "LP'; Parking will be temporarily suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time on the north-eastern side of Mitcham Road between the junction with Priory Road and the route No. 264 bus stop "LP".

3. Whilst the carriageway closure is in force, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Canterbury Road and Mitcham Road and vice versa, as appropriately signed. Whilst the footway closure is in force, the diversion route for pedestrians will be via a walkway in the carriageway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 18 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) vehicle involved in the said works;

(b) vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water main works on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Harold Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Harold Road will be closed between its junction with Central Hill and a point 20 metres south-west of that junction.

3. Whilst the closure is in place the diversion routes for traffic will be via Rockmount Road and Orleans Road, or via South Vale, Bedwardine Road and Orleans Road, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 22 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 05 October 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC WINDMILL ROAD, CROYDON

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Windmill Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Windmill Road will be closed at its junction with Beulah Grove.

3. During the closure the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below.

(a) Westbound traffic on St James's Road diverted via: St James's Road, London Road, Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath High Street and Whitehorse Road.

(b) Eastbound traffic on St James's Road diverted via: Whitehorse Road, High Street, Brigstock Road, London Road St James's Road and Windmill Road.

(c) North/Southbound traffic on Whitehorse Road diverted via: Whitehorse Road, St James's Road, London Road, St James's Road and Hogarth Road.

(d) South-westbbound traffic on Northcote Road diverted via: Whitehorse Road, St James's Road, London Road, London Road, St James's Road, Hogarth Road and Windmill Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 19 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 20 September 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(b) Any vehicle involved in the said works;

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new water connection works, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Holmesdale Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) Holmesdale Road will be closed between Alexandra Place and the common boundary of Nos. 97 and 99 Holmesdale Road;

(b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time outside Nos. 86 to 90 Holmesdale Road.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.
- Route 1 - Holmesdale Road, Dagmar Road, Hurlstone Road & Alexandra Place
- Route 2 - Alexandra Place, Hurlstone Road & Dagmar Road
- Route 3 - Newhaven Road, Charnwood Road & Farnley Road
- Route 4 - Farnley Road, Charnwood Road & Newhaven Road

4. The Order will come into operation on the 17 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle carrying out the said works, any vehicle used for police, ambulance, or fire service purposes, or to anything done with the permission of a police officer in uniform or civil enforcement officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14, AS AMENDED TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR OR PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate essential highway maintenance works that may take place within the London Borough of Croydon, they intend to amend The Croydon (Highways Maintenance Works) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic and Parking Order) 2021, the effect of which would be to allow the following measures to be introduced, providing that the relevant permissions have been granted by the Council, in relation to any street listed in the Schedule to this Notice for which Croydon Council are the highway authority:
(a) temporarily introduce one-way traffic for the duration of the works in those streets or lengths of streets;

(b) temporarily close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets;

(c) temporarily close any adjoining streets to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress;

(d) temporarily introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required; and

(e) temporarily suspend bus lanes/stops, cycle lanes, parking bays or any other traffic restriction as required where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress.

2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or

(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.

3. Whilst the provisions of the amended Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

4. All works requiring a road closure will be advertised complete with any diversion route on our website at the address below. www.croydon.gov.uk/transportandstreets/rhps/roads/road-closures/notices

5. Frontages affected by the above restrictions will receive notification letters approximately two weeks before any works commence.

6. The amended Order will come into operation on the 01 October 2021 and will remain in force until 30 October 2022, 18 months from the operational date of the original Order.

(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. (Access for frontagers would be maintained whilst the work proceeds).
