(B6277 ASHGILL HEAD, HARWOOD COMMON, TEESDALE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council on 3/9/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on approx 700m of the B6277 from the junction with the track at Ashgill Head, Harwood Common in a south easterly direction to enable Durham County Council cattle grid replacement works to be undertaken. Alt route from the northern side of closure in a northerly direction on the B6277 to Alston, then south easterly on A689 to Stanhope, then southerly on B6278 to Eggleston, then in a general north westerly direction on the B6282 to Market Place, Middleton-in-Teesdale, and then north westerly on the B6277 to southern side of closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 13/9/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
