PATH LEADING TO FISHBURN WOODS HOLDFORTH NO.2 FORMER RADLWAY BRIDGE, BISHOP MIDDLEHAM) TEMPORARY FOOTPATH/BRIDGE CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The above-named Order made by the Council on 15/1/2021, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 27/1/2021 has been continued in force from 27/7/2021, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 27/1/2022 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic a 525m length of path that extends eastwards from the junction with Footpath No.4 Bishop Middleham Parish to adjacent to the A177 overbridge south of the Bishop Middleham/Fishburn crossroads. An alternative route will be available from the western side of the closure from Footpath No. 4 southwards and turning eastwards onto Footpath No. 5 passed Sprucely Farm to A177 and then northwards to a track leading down to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. Cyclists and horse riders: from the western side of the closure 1) northwards via Bridleway No. 9 Bishop Middleham Parish; or 2) southwards via Bridleway No.9 Bishop Middleham and Bridleway Nos. 3 & 62 Sedgefield Parish, and Bridleway No. 1 Bradbury Parish; and the roads of A689, A177, C26 Stonybeck Lane and C69 High Street, Bishop Middleham, and vice versa.
