Scotts Farm Road (D2374) Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Order 2021

On 27 January 2021 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("trie Act") trie effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles waiting at any time in the following lengths of road - (a) that length of trie norm-eastern side of the carriageway of Scotts Farm Road (D2374) Ewell which extends from a point 1m norm-west of trie north-western properly boundary of No.6 Scotts Farm Road south-eastwards to the property boundary line between Nos. 2 and 4 Scotts Farm Road; (b) that length of the south-western side of the carriageway of Scotts Faim Road which extends 43m either side of the site access, otherwise known as X6167 Dante Way. This Order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public. The Order will commence on 29 January 2021 for a period of 18 months. The temporary waiting restriction will only apply when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions are provided in respect of the temporary waiting restrictions to permit vehicles to wait in order to pick up and set down passengers, to load and unload goods, to carry out essential services and works or when used by local authorities in pursuance of statutory powers or duties. Exemptions also apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction.
