LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON DISABLED PARKING PLACE AND WAITING RESTRICTION AMENDMENTS
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the following Orders on 24 August 2020 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended -

(a) The Sutton (Charged For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 30) Order 2020; and

(b) The Sutton (Free Parking Places Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 30) Order 2020

2. The principal objectives of the Orders are; (1) to introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and (2) revoke those parking bays that are no longer required.

3. The general effect of the Orders will be to:-

(a) provide new disabled person's parking places 6.6 metres in length in which vehicles displaying a disabled person's badge may park at any time at the following locations:-

(i) adjacent to No. 24 Arlington Drive Carshalton

(ii) outside No. 106 Dorchester Road Worcester Park

(iii) outside 109 Garendon Road Morden (in place of the existing uncontrolled footway parking bay)

(iv) outside No's. 77 to 79 Shaftesbury Road, Carshalton (in place of the existing uncontrolled footway parking bay)

(v) outside No's 65 to 67 Wigmore Road, Carshalton (in place of the existing uncontrolled footway parking bay; and

(vi) outside 35 to 37 Windsor Avenue, Sutton

(b) provide a new disabled person's parking place positioned in an echelon style 4.2 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person's badge may park at any time, outside No.10 Wrythe Lane, Carshalton (in place of the existing footway parking bay).

Please note that the public notice of proposal advertised 12 March 2020 [Order Reference SuttMap1085] for item 3(a) item (ii) outside No's 7 to 9 Burgess Road, Sutton and item 3(a) item (v) outside No's 30 and 32 Russell Court, Ross Road, Wallington are now withdrawn
(c) revoke existing disabled person's parking places at the following locations:-

(i) outside No's 3 to 5 Bridge Road, Wallington

(ii) outside No's 47 to 49 Camborne Road, Sutton

(iii) outside No's 20 to 22 Carshalton Grove, Carshalton; (reverts back to an uncontrolled footway parking bay);

(iv) outside No. 2 Crispin Close, Crispin Crescent, Beddington

(v) outside No. 77 Gordon Road, Carshalton

(vi) outside No's 19 to 20 Oxford Road, Wallington

(vii) outside No's 15 to 17 Richland Avenue, Coulsdon

(viii) outside No's 73 to 75 Sandy Lane North, Wallington (reverts back to an uncontrolled footway parking bay); and

(ix) outside No's 119 to 121 Shaftesbury Road, Carshalton (reverts back to an uncontrolled footway parking bay)

4. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 1 September 2020 and of the Orders that will be revoked or amended by these Orders, the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the Orders may be inspected at the Council's Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA. between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within

6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court Dated 27 August 2020
Note: Persons responding to the Orders should be aware that the Council may be legally obliged to disclose the information provided to third parties.
