LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) BUSHEY ROAD AND GRAND DRIVE, RAYNES PARK (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas main replacement and ancillary works in Grand Drive, Raynes Park, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Bushey Road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) proceed northbound in Grand Drive, Raynes Park, between its junction with the northern kerb-line of Bushey Road and the common boundary of Nos. 35 and 37 Grand Drive; or

(b) turn right or left from Bushey Road into the length of Grand Drive north of Bushey Road; or

(c) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Grand Drive specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. During the works, vehicular traffic travelling northbound in Grand Drive would turn left into Bushey Road upon reaching the junction with Bushey Road.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the northbound closure of Grand Drive should proceed by way of Bushey Road, Beverley Way southbound, Shannon Corner Roundabout, Kingston-By-Pass (A3) northbound, Beverley Way, Coombe Lane, Lambton Road, Worple Road, Pepys Road, Raynes Park Bridge and Approach Road or, if proceeding eastbound on Bushey Road, via Bushey Road eastbound, Kingston Road and Approach Road.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

3. The Order would come into force on Saturday 22nd August 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 4th September 2020. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 18 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PARK AVENUE MEWS, CR4
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water service connection works in Park Avenue Mews, CR4, between its junction with Caithness Road and the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 4 Park Avenue Mews, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Caithness Road and Park Avenue.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle toi­ls) enter or proceed into Park Avenue Mews, CR4, from Caithness Road;

or
(b) enter or proceed into Park Avenue Mews, CR4, from Park Avenue (except for access); or

(c) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Caithness Road, the south-east side, from a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Park Avenue Mews south-eastward to a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Park Avenue Mews.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

5. Vehicular traffic requiring access to Park Avenue Mews properties should proceed from Park Avenue.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into force on Friday 31 August 2020 and it is anticipated that works would be carried out over four days. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

BEULAH ROAD, SW19 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer connection works in Beulah Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the worksi­te) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(i) enter or proceed in Beulah Road, from its junction with Hartfield Road south-westward for a distance of 40 metres; or

(ii) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Beulah Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above;

(b) the one-way working in Beulah Road will be suspended; and

(c) the width restriction in Dundonald Road near its junction with Fairlawn Road will be suspended to facilitate a diversion.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Hartfield Road (northbound), The Broadway, Gladstone Road, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road (southbound), Kingston Road, Merton Hall Road and Dundonald Road.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 3rd August 2020 with the works anticipated to be finished within 2 weeks. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of six months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
A217 - BISHOPSFORD ROAD AND LONDON ROAD
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate the construction of a new road bridge over the River Wandle connecting London Road with Bishopsford Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the above-mentioned roads.

2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed or wait (including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle) in:-

(a) Bishopsford Road, between its junction with London Road and the entrance to Woodglen, No. 2 Bishopsford Road; or

(b) London Road, between its junction with Bishopsford Road and a point 10 metres south of the southern boundary of No. 473 London Road.

3. The alternative routes for traffic affected by the road closure will be as follows:-

(a) northbound vehicular traffic via the Rosehill Roundabout, St Helier Avenue, the Morden Hall Roundabout and Morden Road and vice versa for southbound vehicular traffic;

(b) eastbound vehicular traffic on Wandle Road should use Morton Road and Seddon Road to access Bishopsford Road.

4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order will come into operation on Tuesday 25 August 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 June 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months should the bridge building works take longer than expected.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

(KINGSTON ROAD, SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate repairs to damaged tram lines to be undertaken in Kingston Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Kingston Road, SW19, between its junction with Hartfield Road and a point 20 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Kingswood Road; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the length of Kingston Road specified in sub­paragraph (a) above.

3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as follows:-

(a) south-east bound traffic should proceed via Kingston Road (A238), Morden Road (A219), Morden Road (A24), London Road (A24), Crown Road (A24), Crown Lane (B286), Martin Way (B286) and Bushey Road (A298); and

(b) north-west bound traffic should proceed via Bushey Road (A298), Martin Way (B286), Crown Lane (B286), London Road (A24), Morden Road (A24), Morden Road (A219) and Kingston Road (A238).

4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order will come into force from 11.59pm on Friday 31st July 2020 and remain in force until 6am on Monday 3rd August 2020, with the works anticipated to be completed over 3 nights between the hours of:-

(a) 11.59pm on Friday 31st July 2020 and 6am the following day;

(b) 11.59pm on Saturday 1st August 2020 and 8am the following day; and

(c) 11.59 on Sunday 2nd August 2020 and 6am the following day.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CHURCH ROAD, MITCHAM (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate development works at No. 96 Church Road, Mitcham they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Church Road, the east side, from a point 14 metres south of its junction with Fox's Path, also known as Public Right of Way No. 168, southward for a distance of 34 metres;

(b) enter or proceed on the eastern footway of the length of Church Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

3. During the works, two-way traffic lights would be used to manage traffic flow during four daily 30 minute single lane closures to facilitate deliveries to the works site.

4. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in sub­paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

5. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

6. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.

7. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the prohibited footway insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order would come into operation on Friday 7 August 2020 and remain in force for 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
