Notice is hereby given that from the date specified below, the Essex County Council has temporarily introduced the following measures under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended (the Act), in the interests of public safety and social distancing as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

20mph Speed Limit (the road is currently 30mph by virtue of street lighting) B1007 High Street -From its junction with Sun Street/A129 London Road, northwards to its junction with Norsey Road/Western Road.

These traffic measures are undertaken under "the Act" and in conjunction with additional safety improvements, are funded by national government as part of the response to the Covid-19 situation, designed to allow people more space to social distance as people move around the town centre.

Essex Highways will be replacing some of the existing temporary measures with more aesthetically pleasing semi permeable measures including barriers, signs and cones, on routes in the town centre from 13/07/2020.

The Traffic measures under this notice may stay in force for up to 18 months. During this

period of time a decision will be taken as to whether to make these measures permanent

at this point a full public consultation will be undertaken.

(Footpath 3, Hullbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 3, Hullbridge in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Footpath 5, Hockley, south west for approximately 153 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27/07/2020 to 27/01/2021 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow for works to widen the footway to be undertaken. The widening of the footpath is required to allow vehicles to make deliveries to the compound to remove spoils for the works to the embankment undertaken by Network Rail.

The alternative route will be via private land adjacent to footpath following the filling of the ditches on either side.

The Order will come into effect on 27/07/2020 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Creeksea Ferry Road, Canewdon/Ballards Gore) (Temporary Introduction of 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit in that length of Creeksea Ferry Road, Canewdon/Ballards Gore in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Lambourne Hall Road for a distance of approximately 1405m in a southwesterly direction. The temporary speed limit is scheduled to commence on 03/08/2020 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC111WALVR60X003 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The temporary speed limit is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by BT. The Order will come into effect on 30/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Botney Hill Road, Little Burstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Botney Hill Road, Little Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 185m west of its junction with Hatches Farm Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28/07/2020 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWBHRDN0B001 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these

works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by BT.

An alternative route is available via Tye Common Road, Hatches Farm Road, London Road, Rayleigh Road, Hutton Village, Hanging Hill Lane, Pondfield Lane, Running Waters, Ingrave Road Roundabout, Brentwood Road, Priests Field, Cricketers Lane and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chittock Gate, Barstable) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chittock Gate, Barstable in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Timberlog Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27/07/2020 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000927082 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Hockley Road, Long Riding, Timberlog Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Bank & Holly Bank, Langdon Hills) (Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in that length of High Bank, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Holly Bank for a distance of approximately 35m in a northerly direction.



2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in that length of Holly Bank, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with High Bank for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction.



"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 27/07/2020 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000940580 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while main connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

The Order came into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, District of Rochford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.6) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Rochford as specified in the schedule to this Order.



2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.



"The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 16/07/2020, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
