Notice of Confirmation of an Order

Highways Act 1980 Public Path Diversion Order 2020 Footpaths 28 and 36 Wethersfield

The above Order was confirmed by the Secretary of State for the Environment Food & Rural Affairs on 13 July 2020 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the orders as confirmed as shown on the order maps is to divert:

1. a part length of Footpath 28 Wethersfield commencing from grid reference 57293,22974 on the south side of Valley Farm running in a west south westerly direction for a distance of 148 metres to grid reference 57279,22969 to a new route commencing at grid reference 57301,22963 and running in a west south westerly direction to grid reference 57286,22958 then continuing in a west south westerly direction and finally in a north westerly direction all along the field boundary for a total distance of 276 metres to grid reference 57276,22958 where it connects to the current line of Footpath 28.



2. a part length of Footpath 36 commencing from grid reference 57284,22989 and running in a south easterly then south south easterly and finally in a west south westerly direction for a distance of 200 metres then continuing in a south easterly direction along the existing track for



a final distance of 112 metres to grid reference 57300,22964 will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above starting point and running in a west south westerly direction across the field for a distance of 121 metres to grid reference 57273,22984 then continuing in a south south easterly direction for a final distance of 294 metres to grid reference 57286,22958 where it connects to Footpath 28 Wethersfield. Copies of the order as confirmed and the order map can be viewed by calling 07395602121 or 07885824640 to arrange a suitable time to inspect the documents quoting the Order title. Documents can be made available for inspection 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am-5pm on Friday at Essex County Council, County Hall, E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford if so required following the current social distancing restrictions. public-rights-of-way/public-path-notices.aspx The alternative route comes into force on 10 August 2020, and the old route shall be stopped up with effect from 17 August 2020 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 23 July 2020 make an application to the High Court.

(Beazley End, Wethersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 495m southeast of its junction with Codham Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 240m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11/08/2020 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W0011AUGEA4URC95 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cable works are undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Beazley End, Parkhall Road, Church Road, The Street, Braintree Road, Gosfield Road, High Garrett, Broad Road Roundabout, Braintree Bypass-A131, Broad Road, Convent Hill, Church Lane, Church Lane Roundabout, Church Meadows, Church Street, Bovingdon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Finchingfield Road, Steeple Bumpstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Finchingfield Road, Steeple Bumpstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 550m north of its junction with Eggshell Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10/08/2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01456875935 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while boundary box installation works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via The Green, Brent Hall Road, Sampford Road, Hawkins Hill, Finchingfield Road, Hill Road, High Street, Moor End Road, Walden Road, Anso Road, Hempstead Road, Ashdon Road, Bumpstead Road, Water Lane, North Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Peg Millars Lane, Fairstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Peg Millars Lane, Fairstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 950m east of its junction with Fairstead Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12/08/2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005MQ1W00TERLINGHV3351 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by BT An alternative route is available via Witham Road, Hatfield Road, Fairstead Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rickstones Road, Rivenhall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rickstones Road, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from both junctions with Church Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14/09/2020 for 6 nights, (20:00 - 06:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2294818- Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of overheight vehicle detection system is undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Church Road, Park Road, Western Road, Temple Lane, Witham Road, Cressing Road, Rickstones Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rickstones Road, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from both junctions with Church Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14/09/2020 for 6 nights, (20:00 - 06:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2294818- Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of overheight vehicle detection system is undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Church Road, Park Road, Western Road, Temple Lane, Witham Road, Cressing Road, Rickstones Road and vice versa.

(Witham Road, Little Braxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Little Braxted in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 120m southeast of its junction with Little Braxted Lane for a distance of approximately 135m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10/08/2020 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC005DL1W0000PTMS214110A - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Witham Road, Little Braxted Lane, Colemans Bridge, Colchester Road, A12, Newland Street, Maldon Road, The Grove, Blue Mills Hill, Tiptree Road, Kelvedon Road, Heath Lane, Lea Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Black Chapel Lane, Great Waltham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Black Chapel Lane, Great Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 60m southwest of its junction with Brook Hill for a distance of approximately 100m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28/07/2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M2140 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while main connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Dunmow Road, Bennetts Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 16/07/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
