ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY NO. 193 -RIALTO ROAD FOOTBRIDGE (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC! ORDER 2020

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to Facilitate refurbishment works to a footbridge comprising part of the Public Right of Way (PROW) No. 193, also known as the Rialto Road footbridge, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in the length of PROW No. 193 which lies between Grove Road and Rialto Road.



2. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



3. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -



(a) any person engaged in the execution of the said works; or



(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.



4. Pedestrians affected by the footpath closure should proceed by way of Rialto Road, Eastfields Road and Grove Road or vice-versa.



5. The Order will come into force on Tuesday 16th June 2020 and it is anticipated the works will be completed by 16th October 2020. However, the Order will remain in force for 6 months should further bridge works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(11

(CHASE SIDE AVENUE. KINGSTON ROAD AND ROTHESAY AVENUE. SW20) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works to be undertaken in Kingston Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and suspend parking in Chase Side Avenue, Kingston Road and Rothesay Avenue.



2. During the works, no person will:-



(a) cause or permit any vehicle to turn right from Kingston Road, the north-east to south-west arm between Morden Road and Kingston Road, the south-east to north-west arm, into Kingston Road, the south-east to north-west arm; or



(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in:-



(i) Kingston Road, between its junction with Chase Side Avenue and its junction with Rothesay Avenue; or



(ii) Chase Side Avenue, from its junction with Kingston Road north­westward for a distance of 50 metres; or



(iii) Rothesay Avenue, from its junction with Kingston Road north­westward for a distance of 50 metres.



3. Any designated parking place situated in the lengths of Chase Side Avenue, Kingston Road and Rothesay Avenue specified above will be suspended for the duration of the works in Kingston Road.



4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



5. Vehicular traffic affected by the banned right turn should proceed using Bushey Road(A298), Grand Drive(B279) and Approach Road(B279).



6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.



7. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -



(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or



(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or



(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.



8. The Order will come into operation on Wednesday 10th June 2020, with the works anticipated to be completed on Saturday 13th June 2020. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

BOLSTEAD ROAD. MITCHAM (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement and associated works in Bolstead Road, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-



(a) enter or proceed in Bolstead Road, between its junction with Grove Road and its junction with Oakleigh Way; or



(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of Bolstead Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.



3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of Bolstead Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or length of road.



4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -



(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or



(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or



(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or



(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.



6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Grove Road and Oakleigh Way or Grove Road, Woodside Way and Oakleigh Way.



7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.



8. The Order would come into force on Monday 22nd June 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed by 6th July 2020. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 18 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

(EASTFIELDS ROAD AND GROVE ROAD. CR4) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2020

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate barrier maintenance and associated works at the Eastfields Road level crossing, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Eastfields Road and Grove Road.



2. Whilst the works take place no person would:-



(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed, wait, load or unload in:



(i) Eastfields Road, between its junction with Grove Road and a point 25 metres north-west of the level crossing in Eastfields Road; and



(ii) Grove Road, from its junction with Eastfields Road south-eastward for a distance of 10 metres; or



(b) enter or proceed in the lengths of road listed in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.



3. The prohibition would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



4. Vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited lengths of road would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.



5. Pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the prohibited lengths of road would be maintained at all times.



6. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be as follows:



(a) for vehicles from Grove Road, via Tamworth Lane, Cedars Avenue, Commonside East, Upper Green East, London Road, Raleigh Gardens, Holborn Way, London Road, Lock's Lane and Eastfields Road;



(b) for vehicles from Eastfields Road, via Lock's Lane, London Road, Upper Green East, Commonside East, Cedar Avenue, Tamworth Lane and Grove Road;



(c) for pedestrians, via the adjacent footbridge.



7. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -



(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or



(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or



(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.



8. Nothing in paragraph 2(b) above would apply to persons connected with the execution of the works.



9. The Order would apply from 11.30pm on Saturday 20th June 2020 until 6am on Sunday 21st June 2020.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

(WORPLE ROAD. SW20) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works in Worple Road, SW20, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.



2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:



(a) enter or proceed in Worple Road, between its junction with Lower Downs Road and its junction with Pepys Road; or



(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Worple Road specified in paragraph (a) above.



3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.



4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -



(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or



(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or



(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or



(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.



6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed eastbound via Pepys Road, Coombe Lane, Raynes Park Bridge, Kingston Road, Hartfield Road, Wimbledon Bridge, Wimbledon Hill Road, St George's Road and Francis Grove or westbound via Wimbledon Hill Road, High Street, Wimbledon; Ridgway, Copse Hill, Coombe Lane, Lambton Road and Worple Road.



7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.



8. The Order will come into operation on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 and It is anticipated that the works will be carried out nightly from that date for 3 consecutive nights between the hours of 7.30pm and 3.30am the following day. However, the Order will remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) THE BROADWAY AND WIMBLEDON BRIDGE. WIMBLEDON rCOVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to because of the likelihood of danger to the public and for purposes connected to coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in The Broadway and Wimbledon Bridge, Wimbledon to enable pedestrians to keep a safe 2 metre distance from each other during the coronavirus pandemic.



2. No person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in:-



(a) Wimbledon Bridge, the north-east side, from a point 3 metres north­west of the common boundary of Nos. 21 and 23/25 Wimbledon Bridge to its junction with The Broadway; or



(b) The Broadway, the north-east side, from its junction with Wimbledon Bridge to a point 26 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Wimbledon Bridge.



3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Wimbledon Bridge specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended.



4. The taxi rank situated in the length of The Broadway specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended.



5. The restrictions and suspensions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -



(a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or



(b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.



7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.



8. The Order would come into operation on Friday 5th June 2020 and it is anticipated that its restrictions would apply for 6 months. However, this Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 18 months should there be a need for the restrictions to be continued or re­introduced.
