CROYDON COUNCIL PROPOSED INTRODUCTION/AMENDMENT OF VARIOUS PARKING BAYS & WAITING RESTRICTIONS - KEEN'S ROAD, LONGHURST ROAD, THORNHILL ROAD, TUNSTALL ROAD AND UNION ROAD, CROYDON, FAIRDENE ROAD, MALCOLM ROAD AND REDDOWN ROAD, COULSDON, PAMPISFORD ROAD, PURLEY AND WARMINSTER ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD.
The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment
No.K71) Order 20-The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. K72)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:-
(a) To provide new/amend existing parking places in which disabled Blue Badge holders may park free of charge as detailed in Schedule 1 to this notice.
(b) To provide additional permit holder or shared use (permit/ pay & display) parking bays as detailed in Schedule 2 to this notice, replacing existing yellow line restrictions.
(c) To provide additional loading bays as detailed in Schedule 3 to this notice.
(d) To remove existing free parking bays and upgrade existing single yellow line waiting restrictions, to operate "at any time", as detailed in Schedule 4 to this notice.
(e) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the parking/ loading arrangements as they exist on site.
3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1EA.

6. The proposed Orders are intended to introduce additional parking bays, new disabled bays and loading bays at various locations across the borough, to provide extra parking for local residents, shoppers and businesses. Also proposed are the removal of a free parking bay in Pampisford Road and the upgrading of the waiting restrictions to ensure clear sightlines, and the alteration of two existing disabled parking bays in Warminster Road to prevent obstruction to a dropped kerb crossing point.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
BENSHAM LANE, THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate new water connection works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Bensham Lane, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Bensham Lane will be closed south-westbound at its junction with London Road.
3. During the works the diversion route for traffic will be via Campbell Road and London Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 14 April 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days, between 8am and 5pm each day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council with the approval of Transport for London, HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works by Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Shirley Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Shirley Avenue will be closed north-eastbound between its junction with Shirley Road and the south-western boundary of No.1 Shirley Avenue;
3. During the works the diversion route for traffic will be via Shirley Road, Barnfield Avenue and Shirley Avenue, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 10 April 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within approximately nine weeks, between 8am and 5pm each day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

AUCKLAND ROAD AND CYPRESS ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main repair works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Auckland Road and Cypress Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
a) Auckland Road will be closed outside No. 70 Auckland Road;
b) Cypress Road will be closed at the junction of Auckland Road;
c) One way working will be introduced in Cypress Road from Auckland Road towards South Norwood Hill;
d) Any other traffic management measures required to facilitate the works will be introduced as necessary.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via Cypress Road, South Norwood Hill, Church Road and Sylvan Hill, or via Sylvan Hill, Church Road, South Norwood Hill and Southern Avenue, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 10 April 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
