Dramatize - helping young adults with special educational needs and disabilities, progress through life within the art of theatre.

Newly formed Theatre Company DRAMATIZE, will be starting workshops in the Elmbridge area in April 2012. Regular weekly therapeutic dance, music, drama and performance sessions will be held for young adults age 16 – 40 with special educational needs. Dramatize is the brain child of Karen Bradley who has worked in the theatre industry from a young age and has vast experience in working with young adults with learning difficulties. Karen is passionate in her belief that these sessions will help young adults with special educational needs and disabilities progress through life within the art of theatre and has been tireless in her campaign for funding to enable Dramatize to launch.

The therapeutic sessions will be led by a qualified therapist and Karen and the Trustees of Dramatize aim to empower young adults to voice their opinion, gain confidence, improve their social skills and to assist with increasing their potential to progress through life.

Dramatize is currently supported by funds from UnLTD and Portal but are continuing their fundraising efforts with the first event of 2012, a 5k fun run in Bushy Park, Sunday 29th January 2012 starting at 10.30am. The next fundraiser will be a classy charity auction Dinner on Friday 24th February at the prestigious Clandon Park House, near Guildford, a scrumptious 3 course meal, with rising young talent Danny Gortler performing exclusively for Dramatize with the chance to bid for some really exciting prizes in the auction to help raise funds. Tickets are limited so contact Karen Bradley now at DramatizeTC@live.co.uk or Telephone 0791 2183085 to reserve your dinner place and to get your entry form for the fun run.
