Epsom Primary School support Road Safety Awareness

Year 1 pupils supporting the Road Safety march Year 1 pupils supporting the Road Safety march

On Wednesday 20th June we took part in the Giant Walking Bus. This was organised by the charity Brakes to help raise awareness of road safety to the children and our local community and hopefully helping Brake smash a Guinness World Record. The children have also collected sponsorship to raise vital funds for Brake’s work with families bereaved in road crashes. Before taking part in a march around the local area, the children learnt about the issues involved in road safety. They were very passionate about their messages and made up slogans to chant throughout the march.

We are now in the process of collecting sponsorship money to give to the charity to support families.
