Everyone went baking mad at the Long Ditton Infant and Nursery School annual May Fair on Saturday. As well as the many fantastic stalls and exciting things for the children to do the Friends of Long Ditton organised a competition to see who could make the most delicious cake. The parents rolled up their sleeves and got making their signature cakes for the three judges (pictured above) to try. After tasting over 60 cakes in order to decide which ones were the best Chris Bachmann, from Bachmann’s Patisserie in Thames Ditton, said the standard was very high. He was so impressed with one of the winning entries he claimed that it should have been entered into the National Cup Cake competition!
