The creative work of the borough’s senior school pupils will be on show from Tuesday 31 January to Thursday 9 February at the annual Festival of Youth Art Exhibition.
Sutton Arts Council (SAC) and adult education college, SCOLA, are again working together to host the 13th annual exhibition, which will be on show in Sutton Central Library’s Europa Gallery during library opening hours.
The show is open to all borough senior schools and 14 will be exhibiting this year. Schools catering for students with learning difficulties and disabilities and the referral unit have also submitted a wide range of entries.
The exhibition includes ceramics, computer aided work, drawing, multi-media work, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and textiles from across the age groups. All entrants will receive a certificate, which will be presented at their schools.
SCOLA’s Programme Manager of Creative Studies, Geoff Kenward, said: “Our schools are bursting with talent, and SCOLA and Sutton Arts Council welcome the chance to help their pupils showcase their wonderful work, and to give the public the chance to enjoy it too. “ Based on information supplied by Briony Key.
