I am researching the Hammant family and would be interested in talking to people who think they may have connections to my ancestry either by bloodline or close acquaintance. My great-grandmother was Violet Hammant (b.1894) and she spent some time in Wandsworth and surrounding area in the early part of the twentieth century, moving away to the Cheltenham area by the mid 1940's.

I have reason to believe she had 5 siblings Annie, Robert, Herbert, William and Harold. William is proving particularly difficult to trace on records and I have been unable to trace a death date for him or evidence of whether he married and/or had offspring.

Their parents were William and Maria Hammant.

If you think you have any information about this line of my family or indeed are from a Hammant line at all I would be very interested to hear from you.
