More than 400 Guides from the boroughs of Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton decided they wanted an adventurous challenge in the dark and enjoyed and participated in ‘Fun in the Dark’ – a wide game and treasure hunt with a Pirate theme.
The girls worked in patrols/groups of 5 or 6 and their challenge was to solve the puzzle to open the Treasure Chest. The first challenge was to dress one of their members as a pirate. Then, in the dark, they had to find ten treasure locations around a campsite where they collected clues. Finally they had to crack the code from the clues to open the Treasure Chest! The event was organised by a team of Leaders from the County of Greater London west, and from the shrieks, squeals and laughter it was obvious everyone had a great time.
