Run for the Children is organising a 3k fun run round the park on Sunday, September 9, to raise health awareness and money for Children with Leukemia.

Run for the Children is a national programme but organised locally with the help of the council, schools sports partnership and primary care trust. It is supported by the Youth Sport Trust and Pro-Active South London, the county sports partnership funded by Sport England.

The fun runs is open to everyone of any age or ability. Children can take part on their own or run, jog, or walk with their parents, members of their family, or friends. Groups of friends, solo runners and wheelchair entrants are welcome.

Every one who finishes the course will receive a medal and a booklet with ideas for kids and families on healthy living and exercise.

Registration can be made on the day, up to 45 minutes before the start. Or you can register online at wrunforthechildren.co.uk Children aged four to 15 pay £1 in advance or £2 for entry on the day. Adults pay £8 in advance or £10 on the day. A family saver entry for two adults and up to three children is £15 if paid in advance or £20 on the day.
