Celebrate with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home this Christmas among the tributes to our furry friends at The Animals' War exhibition at the infamous Imperial War Museum (IWM) on Wednesday 6th December. The Annual Reception offers people the chance to support the Home, meet one of the Home's trustees, Shauna Lowry, and raise a glass to all the great work the Home does. The IWM offers the perfect venue as guests will have the chance to view the special exhibition, The Animals' War, featuring ex-residents of the Home.

Buster the Spaniel, whose picture fronts the exhibition, is an ex-Battersea dog. He was in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in Southern Iraq where he saved the lives of countless civilians and service personnel by locating a hidden cache of arms, explosives, bomb making equipment, drugs and propaganda material.

Guests will be able to mingle among the animals - from rats to dolphins - to learn about their remarkable roles in military activity and also meet some of the Home's canine residents who are currently looking for homes. Guests can also try the delicious canaps and enter the raffle to be in for a chance of winning a tailor-made adventure holiday for two in Kenya, a three night stay at the luxurious Dalswinton House, Cornwall and a weekend spa holiday for your dog at the fabulous ALLDOG Hotel

Tickets cost £35 and include wine and canaps. For more information and to purchase tickets, please call 0870 890 0000 or email fundraising@dogshome.org.
