The Cuddington RA held its annual summer event on Saturday 28th June.

Despite three hours of solid rain, the only rain in June, the spirits were not dampened.

The Mayor Robert Foote opened proceedings to a fanfare from the Boys Brigade and also dedicated a new flag pole to recognise the centenary of the First World War.

Epsom and Ewell Silver Band and Benny de Souza ( Neighbourhood Watch website co-ordinator) entertained along with singing Councillor George Crawford.

The Rev Andy Cain compered the dog show which was very popular, assisted by Councillor Judith Glover with a much needed umbrella, the job of a Councillor can be many and varied.

The Best in Show was won by Connie the Dachshund with her owner Emily.

The show was judged by The Ark vets, Sinead, and Crufts Dog Show judge Sandy.

Councillor Eber Kington kept the whole event under control from the safety of a dry control tent.

We would like to thank the 30 stall holders from the local Community groups and businesses for making this such a fun event.
