The 8th Crystal Palace Overground Festival is taking this year’s event to the next level with four days of festivities and 172 performers and artistes taking part.

The festival promises a jam-packed four days with something for everyone, including a table tennis competition, markets, spoken word, art trails, DJs, BBQs, barn dances, cider festival, comedy, sports, music, film, vintage clothing and plenty more.

Fringe events (26 – 27 June), include a night of short film fun with Random Acts artists on 26 June, and on 27 June, an open air film screening of Richard Ayoade’s debut feature Submarine, and a special film score performance and light show from last year’s festival headliners, Metamono.

Saturday 28 June sees the Westow Park festival extravaganza during the day featuring bars, food and craft stalls, kids and lifestyle zones and the best in up and music talent, festival surprises and some very special guests!

The festival finale on Sunday 29 June will see the Crystal Palace triangle area come alive with special events including the return of the classical and avant garde music concert Soundtracks to Crystal Palace railway station, a much bigger Vintage Up the Palace event in Crystal Palace park garden, a local and global music hub at Antenna Studios, and local pubs and venues around the Crystal Palace triangle will host various live music and events.

For families there’s a treasure hunt through Crystal Palace Park to the Magical Sprite Village where adventurers can follow a treasure map and try to find the hidden sprites. For younger children –aged three to six years- there’s the Toddle in the City treasure trail through the Triangle where children will be given a camera to snap any treasures they find.
