Here seen on Tooting Common, Fuzion jazz classical cello piano duo play a mixture of jazz standards and popular classical music. This ranges from Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm to Erik Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 to Piazzolla’s Libertango. Clapham based Fuzion play regularly in the London area and bookings include Wandsworth Arts Festival, Southside House, Wimbledon Common, West Norwood Feast, moored restaurant the Yacht, the Alzheimer’s Society and, with jazz saxophone player Ollie Haffenden, the Furzedown Festival.

When not playing cello in Fuzion Angie plays cello in several London orchestras and performs at St. John’s Smiths Square and Bob plays jazz piano in the Morley College Big Band as well as playing keyboards in the Motown soul band Soul Intent.

The idea for Fuzion arose from both musicians coming from their respective classical and jazz/soul backgrounds to arrange music across different genres. Bob comments ‘our blend of jazz and classical music on these instruments, especially with the electric cello, creates a special atmosphere’ Further information www.cellopianoduo.co.uk or cellopianoduo@yahoo.co.uk Based on information supplied by bob broad.
