Letter to the Editor: Thank you Merton for your generosity

By Paul Wood, Treasurer of the SLCMC; Framfield Road Mitcham

Could I please, through your pages, thank the people of Merton for their generosity.

Even in these cash strapped times, Mitcham people at the Carnival, & Wimbledon folk in Wimbledon's town centre dug into their pockets and put money in the collecting tins for The London Air Ambulance.

The South London Classic Motorcycle Club arranged the collection by putting on a show of motorcycles of the 1950s and 60s, which was a great interest to many folk of all ages.

We are now able to forward the London Air Ambulance over £1500, so thank you people of Merton.
