Last week you highlighted, on your front page, that over 200 families had not been offered any of the five choices they made for a primary school place for their child.

76 children have even been left with no school offer.

You went on to point out two facts.

The first was that the highest demand for places was in central Wimbledon, where I live, and second that the 210 extra places that expanding Dundonald Primary school in Wimbledon would offer, been held up again by a misleading local campaign.

The Conservatives and Liberal Democrats have consistently opposed the expansion, and Labour are committed to it.

With the elections for Merton Council one month away the choice for those parents and local residents who want to see Dundonald School expand is straightforward.

If Labour wins, the expansion will go ahead.

If the Conservatives and their Liberal Democrat allies win, it will not, and children in central Wimbledon will suffer.
