Bus stop from Hell & Merton Council Mobile cctv van distroying our Businesses

Parade of shops down - Central Road - Morden, Launderette, Dry Cleaners, Heron Vets & Rogers News Agents- we have a Bus Stop-Shelter and Disabled Bay. The bus stop occupies most of the parade, and the disabled bay never gets used, due to the Lady who requested it has since passed away.

The parade of shops do not have adequate customer parking. Most of the road is resident parking, and a few spaces away from the shops "pay and display". During this severe economic climate, Merton Council is hounding us every day with this "mobile cctv van" parked in a resident bay, capturing pictures of, our customers- stopping briefly to load and unload goods. Ie bags of clothes etc.

Our customers are mostly elderly and in perticular " a blind couple" who has been a customer of ours for years. The "dial a ride bus" has to stop on the " bus stop" to drop them off.

I have now consulted our lawyers to investigate as to how legal merton council is to Video our customers, by a mobile cctv unit, with inadequate signs to warn off motorist. This method of issuing fines is unfair and unethical, specially when the Merton cctv van is also parked illegally on a "permit holders bay". "pictures of cctv van available, parked illegally" on request.

Are you that desperate to earn money merton council !!! We as shop owners, have started a campaign, and will not vote for you at the next council elections.

We have also been told that "TESCO'S" are opening a local shop, in the old "Tavern Pub"

If this goes ahead it will certainly "Kill Off" all the small shops down Central Road. Thank you Merton Council for looking after Small Businesses.!!! I suppose money talks !!!!
