The Royal British Legion's annual Poppy Appeal comes about in the run up to Remembrance Day

First published in Wandsworth

The Poppy Appeal is here again. A time of year when we remember those that have given their all for our continued freedoms.

As a Royal British Legion member helping with the appeal distributing collecting boxes, I am very surprised at the amount of companies refusing to display collecting boxes in their premises.

Most notable among these are Tesco's and Wetherspoons.

Perhaps a small article in your newspaper might just just help to prick a conscience or two?
