Yesterday morning I went to the Westcroft leisure centre to take part in an exercise class. I parked in what I thought was a space, but when I went back to my car I had a parking ticket. What looked like a space did not have a white line drawn out so, in effect, I was not parked properly. What annoyed me is when I got out of my car a lady drew up in a car and was holding a parking ticket machine in her hand. I looked at her but, as I thought I had parked in a proper bay, thought nothing of it.

Would it not have been nicer if, rather than wait until I was out of sight to slap a parking ticket on the car, to have wound down her window and told me I had not parked in a proper space enabling me to find somewhere else to park? Thanks Sutton Council.
