I have just read your article on Trevor Baker who, with his various guide dogs, I have met many times over in the last 40 years.
He is one of those many people who defy disabilities and get on with life in a cheerful manner.
He is richly deserving of an award and as you probably know, is involved in the many activities of Woodcraft.
I first met Trevor at the council offices some 30-odd years ago when we were involved with the Metropolitan Commons of Staines.
He quickly produced a map and to my amazement accurately pointed out many features on it.
When I asked how, being unsighted, he could do such things, he simply said: "I remember it from the times when I could see."
An inspiration to us all? He certainly is.
