I notice that Wimbledon's hard-working Tory MP, Stephen Hammond, has organised a public meeting to campaign against the cuts to adult education in Merton and Wimbledon (Consultation for education, November 20).

Although I welcome his return from his important constituency work at Ascot, he seems to have developed a short-term memory during his busy periods of absence. In regard to which I hope I can help. Indeed it is my sincerest hope that I can help him as much as I am helping Councillor Walker. It may, for example, interest Mr Hammond to know that the £32m budget cuts were introduced by his wonderful Tory/Lib Dem government, and were indeed voted through by his good self (supported, shock horror, by a lady who has the same name as Shas Sheehan. But it can't possibly be the lady who is now organising the petition against the cuts. Lib Dem politicians are just never that cynical. I mean, give over).

Oh yes, almost forgot, the £32m comes on top of the additional 15% reduction to our local authority funding next year, and on top of the 75% cuts to our welfare support budget already underway. All helpfully voted through by Mister Hammond. I really don't know where he finds the time for all this hard work. The poor chap must be really exhausted.

We must try to give him more time to rest. That is why I am asking as many people as possible to be especially charitable this Christmas, and help this  gentleman in his time of need. By supporting Andrew Judge to get elected in Wimbledon. Christmas is a time for giving.

And giving thanks. I know I am not alone, er, comrades, in wishing to thank Mr Hammond for his magnificent work as Transport Minister. Mr Cameron did eventually fire him, but lucky for us it was not before our Wimbledon MP managed to massively increase all our rail and bus fares. Something that has vastly increased the subsidies we are now paying to the billionaire foreign investors in our privatised Tory utopia. Including Germany's state-owned national railway network. Well, at least they'll have nice looking trains when they march back into Poland.

The reason why the Tory/ Lib Dem government are imposing all these vast additional cuts to Merton Council's budget is because Mr Osborne's policies haven't worked. We would be better off with my granny as chancellor. Our national debt has gone up to a stratospheric level now higher than at any time in our post-war history. Never mind my granny, we need me as chancellor. I studied reading and numbers when I was at reform school.
