During the weekend of 10 to 12 July our son participated in the school play Les Miserables produced by Blenheim High School at the Leatherhead Theatre.

The school, drama teachers and children put on a most marvellous production to date.

Blenheim High School is well-known for their yearly production of a play and this year they treated us to a musical that by its performance, dedication, costumes and singing could match the very one at the London’s West End.

We, parents and family members that flocked to Leatherhead for over three days to enjoy this masterpiece were amazed to see our teenage, rebellious, argumentative and moody children transformed into confident actors that sang and acted, danced and played instrument like never before.

We were left laughing and crying at the same time, proud and delighted.

More than 150 children under supervision of drama teachers spent long hours after school practising and learning lines, singing and acting.

Nothing was too hard and our son was only too happy to go to school at evenings and weekends.

I wish to thank and congratulate the drama teachers, most of all for treating our children as equals, for loving them and unconditionally understanding them and for giving them this opportunity to see what they are capable of.  Subjects and teachers like this make all the difference to our children’s education.

This sort of dedication from teachers and the school is what makes us parents proud of the choice of school we made for our children and it makes our children proud of their achievements.
