How refreshing to find an MP who listens to their constituents and appears to be honest and honourable Mr. Zac Goldsmith, MP for Richmond. ('Total recall' -11 July 2014).

There is far too much corruption being brushed under the carpet within councils. Open any local paper every week and there are complaints of every type, from the most minor 'abuse of office equipment' to actual 'corruption' and sadly constituents know that there is no law that will do anything about it because the law for public servants is different to that of the rest of the population.

They are actually becoming regimes. Are far cry from the old rates offices and the public servants they are supposed to be.

The 'Tax Payers Alliance' do a great job in identifying these councils, but stop short there, as they do not follow anything up.

MP Zac Goldsmith is right, voters should be given the power to get rid of councillors/MP's who abuse their positions, because the unfair voting system means that they can still get in by default even if you don't vote for them.

Somehow though this is never going to happen because corruption is acceptable in The House of Commons (parliamentary privileges). Perhaps Zac Goldsmith could apply to be the next PM?  Please.
