Give us freedom from moronic drunks

I have just read Larry Spears’ letter. He is disgusted that there is to be a drinking ban on the streets of Feltham and says it will "rob us of our freedoms".

When the police see someone drinking alcohol, how drunk do they know he is going to get? Or how much trouble he will cause?

The public should be protected.

In Australia and the US, drinking is banned on the streets nationally and they do not get the same problems we do, which proves it works.

It is nothing to do with taking away freedom from people; it is to do with giving people freedom from mindless morons who feel the need to drink alcohol in public, get drunk and annoy everybody else.

Anyone who feels the need to drink in public clearly needs help.
