Just as every other Saturday mroning, I let my dog run free in Court Rec.

He loves it over there and makes so many friends, canine and human.

I was taken aback on February 19 when a football coach telling me to keep my dog on a lead and muzzled.

I think he must be more blind than me if he is not aware of the several other dogs not on a lead.

The reason he gave was that a few of his young footballers had been attacked by a dog.

Surely, such children need to be encouraged to have contact with gentle dogs, to allay their fears?
