Ewell Rotary Club now has the final figures for its Christmas tree collections.
A total of £5,644 was raised in the run-up to Christmas.
We are quite pleased with this result, taking into account the economic climate and that we were unable to cover all our usual routes because of the snow and ice.
We are grateful to the residents of Ewell and Stoneleigh for responding so generously to Santa and his helpers.
Thank you also to the boys from Glyn Technology School who helped us on some of the collections.
The money raised will go to charities and residents can be assured no administration charegs will be deducted.
The previous year's collection supported Epsom Riding for the Disabled and Epsom and Ewell Phab (a club for physically-handicapped and able-bodied youngsters), the Alone at Christmas lunch in Ewell and other charities.
We are a friendly club and always welcome enquiries from possible new members of both sexes. Anyone interested should visit us at ewellrotaryclub.org.uk
