Martin Olney's (We are a non-political group, March 19) suggestion that Epsom and Ewell’s Resident Associations are non-political couldn’t be further from the truth.
They are either political parties in their own right, or aligned within a political party.
In accordance with the requirements of English law each political party is registered with the Electoral Commission and the registration details are freely viewable on its website.
The relevant registrations include Ewell Court RA, Stoneleigh and Auriol RA, West Ewell and Ruxley RA, and the Residents Associations of Epsom and Ewell.
The latter party entry confirms it to be an alliance of Woodcote RA, Nonsuch RA, Nonsuch Independent RA, College Ward RA, Town Ward RA, and Ewell Village RA.
Each party entry includes detail of the party leader, the nominating officer, and also the treasurer.
