About Time, a three-part band that performs in and around London, is this year celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Originally named Off The Record, the band was renamed About Time after the diversity of music they play, from the swinging 1930’s to modern day pop songs. Now seasoned performers, they play up to three hours a night, covering artists from Frank Sinatra to Robbie Williams, although their personal favourite song to perform is Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. Rob Bell, the lead guitarist, main singer and founder of the band, is the only member to have remained constant throughout - his previous longest stint in a band being seven years.

Their first gig was in early 2007 at the Classic Formula 3 Awards Night at The Village Hotel and Leisure Club in Coventry, and since then they have performed at many weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations.

Rob was inspired to start playing after he was given a guitar for his eleventh birthday, and he has not looked back since. On being asked what he thought of the ten-year anniversary, he replied, ‘It’s great to hear that people still want to hear us – and hopefully that will continue! It’s difficult to pick a favourite venue, but our current favourites are The Comrades Club, Coulsdon, and Old Coulsdon Bowls Club as we always have great nights there.’

To celebrate the tenth anniversary, they have a busy schedule of performances lined up at venues across the south of England, including The United Services Club at Dunstable and Merstham Village Club, as well as several weddings.
