It is the end of the first month of the year, and if you have kept all of your New Year’s resolutions then well done; however if- like most of us- you haven’t quite been keeping them up, then here are some places in the borough of Richmond where you can make 2017 a very successful year.

Resolution: To get fit and healthy.

If you are looking for somewhere to get fitter and healthier, then Cedars Health and Leisure Club is the perfect place.  There are personal coaches, cardio and resistance machines, fitness studios and many enjoyable classes to help you get fit. And after the hard work, you can relax in the sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi.

Resolution: Learn something new.

A lot of us sometimes find that we want to explore more and learn something new; and we don’t always know where we can find the assistance and help we need to do that. The Richmond Adult Community College (RACC), has many interesting and exciting classes where you can learn and master anything you want, from: photography and accounting, to Italian and Bollywood. The RACC really has it all. So if you’re feeling adventurous, why not try out a new thing? - Who knows what it might lead to?

Resolution: Volunteer.

There are so many places in the local area where you can volunteer. You can help out in the charities on your high street, local coffee shops, theatres and even hair salons. So just pop in and ask, and as you’re volunteering, the hours are quite flexible and can be tailored to suit you. You also get a great feeling because you are giving back to the community and helping out. Elizabeth Andrew once said that “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”

So, seeing as you now have all the answers, there is no reason for you to give up on those New Year’s resolutions. So get out there and make 2017 a year to remember.
