Heavy rainfall brings flash flooding to Croydon

Flash floods in London Road, Croydon Flash floods in London Road, Croydon

Heavy rain in Croydon has led to flash flooding in some areas and caused delays on the roads and to some tram routes.

Croydon Tramlink had to temporarily suspend their services in the town centre due to a large amount of surface flooding on the track.

Reeves Corner and Tamworth Road were the affected areas, with reports of flooding in Epsom Road and Summer Road.

Tram services are now running normally.

A burst water pipe is causing some disruption on London Road, with traffic having to slow down due to a large amount of surface water on the road.

Bloody great tidemark all the way from the Waddon Road shops to Epsom Road - because the Council don't keep the gulleys clear and don't sweep the streets properly.

We always get the latest weather report from a cousin who works at the London Weather Centre, we can then plan our journey using a pre booked licensed traditional London Taxi, fully insured, and drivers who speak perfect English.
