A PUBLIC meeting will be held tonight on controversial plans to build thousands of homes on High Wycombe and Bourne End fields.
Residents are invited to the town hall in Queen Victoria Road for the 7pm meeting, set to last two hours.
Wycombe District Council wants to earmark land at Terriers Farm, Gomm Valley and Abbey Barn in High Wycombe and Slate Meadow in Bourne End.
The move is needed to hit Government housing targets, councillors argue (see links, bottom of story).
It is part of plan which will also massively change High Wycombe town centre.
The following meetings are also taking place on other proposals: M40 Gateway Monday 13 July 7-9pm. Amersham & Wycombe College, Flackwell Heath Campus.
Desborough Area (exhibition) Wednesday 15 July 2-8pm. Green Street Youth & Community Centre, High Wycombe.
Sustainability Thursday 16 July 7-9pm. John Hampden School, High Wycombe.
