Laura Robson will take her place in the main draw at Wimbledon after being given a wildcard by the All England Club.

The 17-year-old, who won the junior title in 2008 and grew up within walking distance of the venue, has bowed out in the first round in the past two seasons but will be looking to go one better this year.

She is currently Britain's sixth highest ranking woman at 234th in the world and has also been handed a wildcard into the women's doubles alongside Anne Keothavong.

Ross Hutchins, another Wimbledon-based player, has a wildcard into the men's doubles with his partner Colin Fleming.

Also into the men's doubles is Leatherhead's Chris Eaton, who will play alongside Surbiton's Josh Goodall after they too received a wildcard.

New Malden's Melanie South has been granted a place in the ladies' doubles with Sarah Borwell but only got a wildcard for the ladies' singles qualifying tournament.

Twickenham's 17-year-old Oliver Golding also got a wildcard for the men's singles qualifying tournament in Roehampton next week.
