London Scottish’s ead coach Simon Amor says new signings Agustin Gosio and Alfredo Lalanne are desperate to muscle in on the Championship – despite having only just arrived in the UK from World Cup duty in New Zealand with Argentina.
Winger Gosio represented the Pumas for the first time at the World Cup and scored a try against Georgia, while former London Irish scrum-half Lalanne has 10 caps – including two against Scotland.
“Both players will be bolstering critical positions for us in our squad and will add to our attacking threat,” said Amor.
“They are World Cup internationals and neither played a huge amount during the tournament, so they will be desperate to play some rugby for us. Alfredo has top level experience in England and is the sort of player Matt Heeks and Jamie Stevenson – in particular – can learn a lot from.”
